Safeguarding

We realise when working with young people and vulnerable adults safeguarding is of prime importance, which is why it is at the forefront of our minds.

You will be able to find our Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct on our documents page

We take our duty of care seriously, and as part of our commitment, the YCRA will:

- Promote and encourage the safety and wellbeing of all participants;

- Ensure robust safeguarding and best practice;

- Provide clear points of contact for any concerns, including a Safeguarding Lead;

- Ensure appropriate action is taken;

- Ensure safeguarding concerns are recorded in a confidential manner;

- Ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities with respect to safe guarding and wellbeing.

Our policies have been reviewed by the Ann Craft Trust a leading authority on safeguarding. The trust has previously worked with other bellringing organisations and, therefore, has an understanding of the particular challenges that ringing faces. Although the charity is an adult safeguarding specialist, they also have extensive knowledge in safeguarding children and have robustly examined our policies prior to publishing.

For any safeguarding concerns, or questions about our policies, please contact safeguarding@ycra.org.uk or if there is an emergency, contact 999 immediately.
